The Miami Dolphins and veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has agreed to terms on a one-year, $8.25 million contract after weeks of negotiations, according to Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
According to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques, the base value of Beckham’s new deal is $3 million.
According to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, the Dolphins were not prepared to raise its offer in terms of guaranteed compensation, but incentives ultimately led to this agreement between the two sides.
Beckham, 31, spent last season with the Baltimore Ravens, on a one-year $15 million guaranteed deal, and poured in his most productive season since 2019 with 35 receptions, 565 yards while also notching a career-best 16.1 yards per catch average
Beckham slots in as the Dolphins’ third wide receiver and fills their need of getting a veteran who could make tough catches.
