While mock drafts suggest that Bronny James, the USC product who is the son of future Hall of Famer and current Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, will land somewhere in the second round, bettors aren’t willing to wait that long.
According to Oddsshark, James is the most bet on prospect in the entire draft class to be taken with the #1 overall pick, despite how improbable that seems.
Per the report, 30% of the total wagers on the No. 1 overall pick market are on Bronny. Alexandre Sarr (-140) is the favorite to go No. 1 overall, following by Zaccharie Risacher (+130) and UConn’s Donovan Clingan (+550).
As for where Bronny lands, the Lakers (+160) are the favorite to draft Bronny, with the Phoenix Suns (+750) second, and it makes sense as they are the only two teams that Bronny has worked out for, and it appears he is set to work out for the Suns again in the near future.
