The Los Angeles Clippers and veteran guard James Harden have officially come to terms on a two-year, $70 million deal, according to ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk.
The Clippers traded for Harden in late October but Harden started off slow. Eventually Harden would turn things around and help the Clippers reverse course from a 3-7 start to climb the ladder of the Western Conference, peaking atop the conference with a 34-15 record for a short time in February.
Harden, 34, who is a Los Angeles native, had repeatedly expressed during the season how happy he was playing at home and now ensures he will be doing so for a few more seasons thanks to a brand new contract.
Harden averaged 16.6 points and 8.5 assists in 72 games for the Clippers this past season.
