The Pittsburgh Steelers are showing interest in free agent safety Malik Hooker, who has visited the team and has met with three other teams this offseason, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Hooker has spent his entire career with the Indianapolis Colts, but was plagued by injuries during his tenure in Indianapolis. The former first round draft pick is effective when he is healthy enough to play, and has been favorably graded by Pro Football Focus when he does suit up.
Hooker could add some depth to a Steelers defensive backfield that features Minkah Fitzpatrick and Terrell Edmunds as starters.
