Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry certainly did more than his part by leading the Titans to a stunning 33-30 comeback victory over the Seattle Seahawks on the road on Sunday, giving the Titans their first win of the season.
Henry was electric, notching 182 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 35 carries, with two of those scores coming in the fourth quarter to lift the Titans to victory. Henry also had a career-high six receptions for 55 yards.
Tennessee was down 24-9 at halftime, and 30-16 early in the fourth quarter.
“I don’t think anyone expected us to come here and get a ‘W,’” Henry said (h/t ESPN). “I knew if we stuck together, trust in what we preach and what coach preaches, play the way we practice, it would eventually come together for us.”
“It just never ceases to amaze me. We just got to keep being in opportunities and being in football games where he can help us affect the outcome,” Titans coach Mike Vrabel said. “That’s really what happened today.”
