Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox is having a whirlwind week, from his father’s deleted tweet calling for the team to trade teammate Marvin Bagley, to critics claiming that the social media drama is impacting his play on the court this season it has not been easy for Fox.
Fox has heard the critics, and has responded with a NSFW rant aimed at those who believe that social media is to blame for his lackluster play this season.
“I don’t think anyone is out there playing basketball worrying about two tweets,” Fox said, according to James Ham of NBC Sports. “And, if you are, this ain’t what you should be doing because mother%#@%$rs are going to tweet you everyday of your life while you’re playing in this league.
So, if that’s what you’re worried about, then I don’t know what to tell you.”
The team discussed all the drama, per the report, with Harrison Barnes speaking to teammates following the game in an attempt to get the team back to the style of play that got them in the win column to start the season.
“We had HB (Barnes) talk up and speak up after the game,” Kings’ Glenn Robinson III said. “We’ve just got to continue to work together. We can’t get too frustrated about things.”
