With the Washington Football Team seemingly to be officially done with Dwayne Haskins as their starting quarterback, the team is now willing to listen to offers for the young quarterback following his benching, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
A fresh start may be what both sides need as the relationship between Haskins and the Washington coaching staff has reportedly turned toxic, according to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora.
“What they’ll tell you in that building is that [Haskins] is a project who was drafted by the owner and his son,” the reports states. “That’s the bottom line there. Allen is their guy. They think he fits their system. They didn’t really want anything to do with Haskins from the beginning.”
