Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown was arrested and charged with criminal speeding Wednesday morning, according to ESPN News.
According to Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves, Brown was arrested at 7:05 a.m. on State Route 101 and booked in the Maricopa County Jail and released on his own recognizance Wednesday evening following a brief hearing in Maricopa County Superior Court.
“We are aware of the situation regarding Hollywood Brown and have reported it to the NFL office as required,” the Cardinals said in an official statement. “We will comment further as appropriate.”
Brown is set for a court appearance on August 23rd.
