With Kevin Durant back in the fold and Kyrie Irving likely staying as well, the Brooklyn Nets are dedicating their focus into fleshing out the rest of their roster for the upcoming regular season and are already honing in on a new addition.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Nets are currently in “advanced” discussions with veteran free agent forward Markieff Morris.
Morris, 32, was limited to only 17 games last season with the Miami Heat due to a neck injury, but would prove to be a solid addition to the Nets roster, and Morris is also drawing interest from the Philadelphia 76ers in recent weeks.
During his last full season, Morris averaged 6.7 PPG and 4.4 RPG in 61 games with the Los Angeles Lakers.
