New York Knicks and New York Rangers’ owner James Dolan has reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus, the team said in an official statement on Saturday night, according to ESPN’s Malika Andrews.
Dolan, 64, is experiencing “little to no symptoms” and is self-isolating, according to the team.
The State of the New York is considered to be the epicenter of the disease and outbreak in the United States, with more than 52,000 cases in the state as of Saturday afternoon.
Recently, Dolan and the MSG Company came to a formal agreement to see the Forum to Los Angeles Clippers’ owner Steve Ballmer for $400 million in cash.
The team indicated that Dolan continues to oversee business operations for the Madison Square Garden Company.
According to SNY’s Ian Begley, MSG and the Dolan Family Foundation made donations to staff, $1 million a piece and $300,000 from the MSG management team.
Additionally, Madison Square Garden Company staff has been informed they will be paid through May 3 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
