Police officers in Lakewood, Colorado are actively searching for a man who was involved in a brawl that took place on the field at a youth baseball game that took place on Saturday.
Police spokesman John Romero spoke to the media and stated that a game between 7-year old youth baseball players from Lakewood and Bear Creek resulted in a dispute between parents and coaches over a call by an umpire who is 13 years old.
The dispute led to punches being thrown with police stating that several people have already received citations for disorderly conduct and fighting in public.
The Lakewood (Colorado) Police Department are now asking the public for assistance in identifying one man, in particular, who was involved in the incident, and who police say is likely facing assault charges.
“Several people have already been cited in this fight and several injuries were reported,” the Lakewood Police Department wrote on Facebook.
“There were several reports of injuries and one serious injury,” Romero said, according to The Denver Post. “We’re looking for any information on this melee, but in particular the identity of the suspect in the white shirt and teal shorts who threw a sucker punch.”
