The Milwaukee Bucks organization is confident that they will be able to sign superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to a super-max contract this upcoming season, according to ESPN’s Zach Lowe.
Per the report: “Many within the Bucks remain confident Giannis Antetokounmpo will sign a five-year supermax extension valued at between $220 million and $250 million (depending on the cap level) before the start of the 2020-21 regular season. Unless something drastic changes, Milwaukee is not trading him. If Antetokounmpo doesn’t sign, the Bucks are prepared to play it out, sources have said.”
Furthermore, the Bucks are expected to be active this offseason in bringing in more talent around Antetokounmpo, and have been exploring the addition of Sacramento Kings’ restricted free agent Bogdan Bogdanovic, and absorbing the contract of Harrison Barnes.
Additionally, the Bucks have expressed interest in Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo, although no substantial talks have taken place to this point.
Many reports have speculated, since the end of the season, that the Bucks would be a landing spot for Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Chris Paul, but there has been no traction on a potential deal thus far, and talks may not have even taken place yet.
