Legendary San Francisco 49ers broadcaster Don Klein, who is best known for calling “The Catch” died on Wednesday at the age of 95, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Klein is known for the iconic play during the 1981 NFC Championship game at Candlestick Park when 49ers quarterback Joe Montana passed to tight end Dwight Clark in the back of the end zone which won the Niners the NFC Championship and punched their ticket to the Super Bowl.
Klein called games for the 49ers and the Stanford Cardinal throughout his legendary career, which spanned 56 years.
