Houston Texans cornerback Gareon Conley will be undergoing additional ankle surgery and remain on the injured reserve for the rest of the season, according to an official team announcement.
Conley has had a tough year as he prepares to hit free agency following the season as the Texans opted to decline his fifth-year option, which was for $10.24 million.
With Conley now out along with Bradley Roby, the Texans are now left with Vernon Hargreaves and Phillip Gaines in the cornerback unit.
