The New York Giants area looking to turn the page on another disappointing season and it looks like they will have their starting quarterback back in the fold as Daniel Jones expects to be full-go at training camp next week.
Jones, 27, underwent surgery on a torn ACL in November and was not fully cleared in the spring, but Jones believes he will be fully cleared for practice when Giants training camp kicks off on Tuesday and the team’s first practice slated for Wednesday.
Jones is not expected to start on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Jones started just six games last season because of neck and knee injuries
“Yeah, should be ready to go,” Jones said when talking at his Flexwork Youth Football Camp on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan. “I feel good. Ready to go. Ready to go for training camp,” Jones said add this he is “Looking forward to next Wednesday.”
Jones has been working out primarily in New Jersey as he aimed to make a return to training camp without any limitations.
“It has been quick,” Jones said of the offseason. “Mostly up here [New Jersey], training, rehabbing, getting ready to go.”
Many consider this upcoming season to be a make-or-break season for Jones.
