The regular season may be more than a week away but the Green Bay Packers are already ready for regular season action and the intensity of regular season play was on full display during a recent practice in which Packers head coach Matt LaFleur called “game-like”.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said “it was the best practice of camp” and wished they could do more sessions like it, according to Sports Illustrated.
“For us older guys, it was like a preseason game,” Rodgers said. “Conditioning-wise, I wish we would’ve done a couple more of those. It was basically like a game.”
“I thought it was a good opportunity for our guys to go out there unscripted, hear calls, see how they go out there and execute, making sure they communicate and the effort and all the little things we’re looking for are there and we’re ready to go,” LaFleur said.
The Packers will get that regular season intensity when they kick off the season against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1.
