As the situation between the Green Bay Packers and future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers continues to deteriorate, the chances of Rodgers playing for another NFL team get better each day.
One of those teams who have been linked to Rodgers, should he leave the Packers, is the Denver Broncos, and All-Pro pass rusher Von Miller is all for it. Miller gushed about the Broncos landing the MVP signal caller, while also supporting the team’s current starter, Drew Lock.
“It’s crazy to think about, you know, getting an Aaron Rodgers,” Miller said over the weekend during his annual pass-rushing summit, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “You put him on any team in the league, and he changes that team.”
“If you get too emotionally involved in those guys, and then it doesn’t happen, now you got [Drew] Lock over here looking like … what about now?’” Miller said. “So you don’t want to get too emotionally attached to the rumors.”
Miller has heard the rumors of a quarterback change for the Broncos all off-season. From Deshaun Watson, to Matthew Stafford, and now Rodgers.
“You start thinking, ‘Oh, we’re going to get Aaron Rodgers or Deshaun Watson,” Miller said. “But hold on, wait a minute, we’ve got Drew Lock. That’s who we’re running with. That’s who we’re going into the season with until anything changes.”
