Cincinnati Bengals veteran defensive back Trae Waynes will miss a”sizable portion” of the regular season following surgery for a torn pectoral muscle, according to NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
Waynes has a “chance” to make it back to the filed before the end of the 2020 regular season, but the team will be without their new corner for a few months.
The Bengals inked Waynes to a three-year, $42 million deal earlier this offseason, making him one of the NFL’s highest paid corners.
