Ravens’ Alex Collins Tells Fantasy Owners ‘Draft me now before it’s too late’

Baltimore Ravens running back Alex Collins has some advice for fantasy team owners; ‘draft me before it’s too late, guys’.

Collins is coming off a 2017 season in which he notched 973 yards rushing, the second most by a Ravens rusher over the past 5 seasons.

Collins hasn’t generated the buzz he may have hoped for, coming in at 26th in NFL.com’s ranking of the top NFL running backs.

“I did mention it to him, and he had seen it,” Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said, according to Jamison Hensley. “That’ll motivate you a little bit.”

Collins has been putting in the hard work to improve upon his 2017 campaign and show that he is a viable threat.

“He’s definitely determined,” Ravens running backs coach Thomas Hammock said, “and I think he wants to make sure people understand that he’s not just a one-hit wonder.”

Collins used the offseason to bulk up, adding 5 pounds of muscle to his frame.

“I’m moving around great,” Collins said. “I’ve still got my stamina, as well as more strength, so I just look forward to seeing how it looks in pads.”

Collins is looking to become the 1st Ravens running back to surpass the 1,000 yard rushing mark since Justin Forsett did it back in 2014, the longest drought in team history.

“As a running back, I think that’s important,” Collins said.

“With that being said, I don’t want to take that personal goal and get ahead of myself and just think about trying to get yards, trying to get yards, thinking about the big play, because the games are situational. You do everything right, and in a game, the stats will be determined on your play. So, going into games and going into it, I don’t think, ‘yards, yards, yards.’ I just try to be where I’m supposed to be, do exactly how it’s supposed to be done, and just finishing plays strong is how I pick up those extra yards to try to get that goal.”
