The Utah Jazz have a reputation for being very open to signing international talent regardless if they are foreign players or American players returning from a stint overseas.
So it should come as no surprise that one of their own foreign players is trying to recruit his fellow countryman to join the team.
Australian forward Joe Ingles is interested in the Utah Jazz signing free agent big man Andrew Bogut, according to the Australian Associated Press.
“I would love for him to come over to Utah” Ingles said.
“He’s got a connection there already and if they want to take him I’ll happily have him.”
Bogut, 32, has battled injuries in recent years and his stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers lasted under a minute due to fracturing his tibia after colliding with another player.
Despite the injury, Bogut expects to make a full recovery.
“I don’t feel like this injury will hurt me long-term, because the bone will heal stronger than it was before” Bogut said per Steve Aschburner of NBA.com.
Adding Bogut to the mix makes a lot of sense for the Jazz who are still recovering from the departure of Gordon Hayward.
