The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to sign former Detroit Lions defensive tackle Mike Daniels “if the visit goes as planned”, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Daniels seemed like a great fit with the Lions last season when he inked a one-year, $9.1 million contract following his release from the Green Bay Packers, but injuries derailed his season not long into his tenure, and seemed to be considered for a return to the team.
In limited time last season, Daniels clocked 10 tackles, two tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, and a single sack.
Daniels will instantly provide a boost along a rather slim defensive line in Cincy, and if he can stay healthy, should help provide a much needed anchor along the Bengals line.
