The New York Giants are bringing in veteran kicker Graham Gano for a workout and plan on signing the former Carolina Panther, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Gano, 33, was released by the Panthers last month and is still recovering from a fractured femur suffered towards the end of the 2018 season.
Prior to the injury, Gano was one of the better kickers in the league, hitting on 96.7% of his field goal attempts in 2017 which not only earned him his first Pro Bowl nomination, but also earned him a new four-year, $17 million contract with the Panthers.
Gano will compete with Giants’ veteran kicker Chandler Catanzaro, who was signed to replace Aldrick Rosas earlier this summer.
