The Las Vegas Raiders are keeping their eyes on Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue who is currently available for trade, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
A lot of news popped up this week regarding the Jags’ disgruntled pass rusher.
Earlier this week it was reported that the Jags were close to completing a deal with a team involving Ngakoue, but Jaguars’ general manager Dave Caldwell later disputed that report.
Ngakoue, 25, has been pushing for a trade for months, but things are even more complicated as the Jags are looking for good compensation despite Ngakoue essentially being a rental for any team that trades for him.
The Raiders are also showing interest in former XFL quarterback Cardale Jones, who worked out for the team on Friday, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Adam Hill.
Jones impressed during his stint in the short XFL season, playing for the D.C. Defenders.
