With the MLB trade deadline looking, the Toronto Blue Jays are looking to bolster their starting rotation as they attempt to keep pace in the AL Wild Card race, with the AL East division seemingly out of reach.
According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, Toronto is interested in Los Angeles Angels’ right hander Noah Syndergaard, who was originally drafted by the Blue Jays but never threw a pitch in the majors for the team.
Syndergaard would make his debut with the New York Mets, where he would spend the next 6 seasons prior to signing with the Angels in free agency ahead of this season.
Sundergaard has pitched to the tune of a 3.83 ERA in 80 innings of action this season for Los Angeles.
