It has been a strong start to the season for Washington Wizards superstar guard Russell Westbrook, and he continued his strong play on Tuesday night despite the Wizards falling to the Chicago Bulls to fall to 0-4 on the season.
Westbrook collected 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists for Washington, and became the first player since Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson in 1961-62 to record a triple-double in each of his first three games in a season.
Robertson accomplished the feat during the 1961-1962 season when he was playing for the Cincinnati Royals.
Despite the big numbers, the Wizards have failed to see them lead to a victory thus far in the season, as they continue to struggle mightily on the defensive end of the court.
Westbrook will get another crack at beating the Bulls on Friday and maybe this time he can lead them to victory.
