The Buffalo Bills are going the extra mile to ensure that their new superstar wide receiver is happy, and remains in Buffalo for years to come.
According to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, the bills have worked out an agreement on a pay increase for the 2020 season.
Per the report, the Bills have adjusted Diggs’ contract which will see his pay in 2020 rise by $3.3 million, and a $7.7 million increase in pay for the 2021 season.
Additionally, the Bills decreased the cash payouts of the 2022 and 2023 seasons by $3 million. While the report indicates that the Bills didn’t do this to help convince Diggs not opt for the upcoming season, it was noted that the deal was done back in March after the Bills traded for Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings.
