Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be out for the remainder of the season after undergoing season-ending elbow surgery.
Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin announced, via an official team statement, that Roethlisberger will undergo the surgery at some point this week after undergoing an MRI on Sunday night.
Roethlisberger, 37, suffered the injury during action against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday after he attempted the pass during the team’s final drive of the first half.
The Steelers will now turn to Mason Rudolph to take the reigns, as he did when Roethlisberger left the game on Sunday.
