Las Vegas Raiders brand new starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is recovering from offseason surgery, but Raiders fans shouldn’t worry too much as the veteran signal caller is set to be ready in time for training camp.
The Raiders inked Garoppolo to a three-year, $67.5 million contract when free agency opened back in March. Garoppolo had undergone offseason surgery to address a broken foot he suffered during the 2022 regular season when he was playing for the San Francisco 49ers.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, barring any setbacks in Garoppolo’s recovery, he is fully expected to be ready for training camp.
Now, it’s on Josh McDaniels and the Raiders to ensure that they can get Garoppolo up to speed on their offensive system so that they can vie for a better season in 2023 then they had during their 2022 campaign.
