Detroit Lions star tight end T.J. Hockenson will miss the remainder of the 2021 season after the Pro Bowler underwent thumb surgery Thursday morning with renowned hand specialist Dr. Thomas Graham, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Hockenson, who suffered the injury during the Lions only victory so far this season, a victory over the Minnesota Vikings earlier this month. Hockenson is expected to make a complete recovery following the procedure.
Hockenson, 24, paces the Lions with 61 receptions, 583 yards and four touchdown catches this season.
