The Baltimore Ravens are going to have to work out a contract extension with franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson in the not-so-distant future, and Jackson says he wants to remain in Baltimore for the long-term.
The Ravens could work out a new deal with their franchise signal caller either this offseason, or next year, but it is something that Jackson isn’t particularly worried about. Jackson is currently playing on his rookie contract, which earns him $1.77 million in base salary this season.
“I’m not really worried about if it gets done this year or next year,” Jackson said, according to the Ravens official Twitter account. “We’re going to see. We don’t know yet.”
“I would love to be here forever,” Jackson said. “I love Baltimore. I love the whole organization. I love everybody in the building. Hopefully, we’ll be making something happen pretty soon whenever.”
