Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette has officially filed a grievance against his former team, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Fournette was waived by the team on Monday, and no team has put in a claim for him making him an unrestricted free agent.
Fournette is looking to recoup the $4.167 million base salary that the Jaguars voided, which they did following his one-game suspension for a fight with then-Buffalo Bills linebacker Shaq Lawson, who is now with the Miami Dolphins, during a game in 2018.
Fournette said he would file a grievance to get the guaranteed money back, but couldn’t officially do so until the Jaguars cut him.
