The New Orleans Saints and star running back Alvin Kamara have begun negotiations regarding a long-term contract extension, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
While no new contract is imminent just yet, the report says that the Saints have already made an offer to Kamar, who has one year left on his rookie contract.
There is no denying the impact Kamara has had, and how important he is to the Saints offense since he entered the league in 2017.
Kamara’s 4,476 scrimmage yards, since 2017, rank fifth in the NFL.
