Atlanta Falcons superstar wide receiver Julio Jones has been officially ruled out for Atlanta’s game on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
While Jones won’t be available for Week 14, it appears that with the Falcons out of playoff contention that the team may decide to shut Jones down for the remainder of the season, a devastating blow to fantasy owners who are likely starting playoff games this week.
According to The Athletic’s Tori McElhaney, Falcons interim head coach Raheem Morris said that the team has not come to a decision regarding Jones’ status for the rest of the season.
Jones currently has 51 receptions for 771 yards and three touchdowns on the season, and if they are his final numbers it will be yet another season where he has failed to eclipse the 1,000 yard receiving mark, with the last time being the 2013 season.
