Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered what is believed to be a high ankle sprain that will keep him out of the lineup for the rest of the regular season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Edwards-Helaire suffered the injury during Sunday’s big win over the New Orleans Saints, and the team is hopeful that he can return at some point during the postseason.
With Edwards-Helaire out of the lineup, the Chiefs will turn to Le’Veon Bell, who they signed earlier in the season following his release from the New York Jets. Bell had his best game as a Chief on Sunday, running for 62 yards and scoring a touchdown.
