New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton could end up back on the field for the team during their Week 5 tilt against the Denver Broncos, according to the Boston Globe’s Ben Volin.
Per the report, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick says he doesn’t anticipate Cam Newton practicing today, but won’t talk about his game status for Monday, which leaves the door open for Newton to be available against Denver.
Newton has been asymptomatic since he was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list last week, and while he did not practice on Saturday, he has been taking part in the team’s meeting on Zoom.
