The Miami Dolphins lost a very close AFC Wild Card playoff tilt to the second seeded Buffalo Bills, one of the AFC’s powerhouse Super Bowl contenders, and it can be argued that if Tua Tagovailoa had played that the Dolphins would have come out with the victory.
Instead, the injury ravaged Dolphins toted out rookie Skylar Thompson, who struggled mightily at times during the game, but still got the Dolphins within three points of tying the game, if not for poor clock management.
Many were hoping that if Miami could somehow make it past Buffalo on Sunday, Tagovailoa could have potentially been cleared from the concussion protocol and work his way back to the field this postseason.
But now, Miami looks towards the offseason and building on the solid foundation and momentum they established in 2023.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dolphins plan to have Tagovailoa as their starter in 2023, despite a troubling number of concussions and serious questions about the quarterback’s durability.
Tagovailoa has been in the concussion protocol since December 26th.
