The Chicago White Sox continue to build the staff for new manager Tony La Russa and have hired former MLB player Miguel Cairo as their new bench coach, according to The Athletic’s Lindsey Adler.
Cairo has been serving as the infield coordinator for the New York Yankees in their minor league system, and spent 17 seasons playing in the majors.
Cairo had a short stint with as the interim bench coach for the Cincinnati Bengals back in 2013
