The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms with outfielder Adam Eaton on a one-year, $7 million deal that includes a club option for 2022, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
The club option for Eaton, who is projected to be the every-day right fielder for Chicago, is for $8.5 million for the 2022 season.
Eaton, 32, got a $1.5 million buyout from the Washington Nationals after they decided to decline the option on his $10.5 million deal for the 2021 season.
Eaton batted just .226 with four home runs and 17 RBIs last season.
