Padres Sign Jurickson Profar to Three-Year, $21 Million Contract

1 Min Read

The San Diego Padres have agreed to terms with utilityman Jurickson Profar on a three-year, $21 million contract, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

Profar proved his value to the Padres last season, by playing five different defensive positions through the season for San Diego.

Profar also hit a career high .278 to go along with 7 home runs and 25 RBIs over the 56 games he played during the pandemic shortened season.

Profar was acquired by San Diego for the Oakland Athletics following the 2019 season, and he eventually beat out Brian Dozier to win the starting job at second base.
