San Francisco 49ers veteran safety Jimmie Ward is expected to miss part of the regular season and is likely to land on injured reserve to kickoff the 2022 season, according to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner.
Ward, 31, suffered a hamstring injury back on August 14th which was described as “pretty bad”.
Ward started 16 games for San Francisco last season, finishing with 77 tackles, six passes defended, and two interceptions.
