The Miami Marlins are entering the offseason with the goal of retaining righty reliver Brandon Kintzler for the 2021 season, according to Sportsgrid’s Craig Mish.
The Marlins hold a $4 million option on Kintzler for next season, or they could exercise the option to buy Kintzler out for $250k, which would send him to the free agent open market.
Kintlser, 36, signed a one-year, $3.25 million pact with the Marlines last offseason and turned in a solid campaign in 2020, pitching to the tune of a 2.22 ERA while converting 12 of 14 save opportunities.
