The Jacksonville Jaguars may be on the way to getting their man at head coach as they have engaged in advanced talks with Urban Meyer to see whether they can finalize a deal this week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The report goes on to say that following a meeting with the Jaguars on Wednesday, Meyer is highly interested in coaching at the NFL level.
Meyer had also recently drawn interest from the Los Angeles Chargers, but his slow moving process has apparently frustrated a few within the Jacksonville front office. Despite those developments, the Jaguars may be closing in on officially hiring Meyer as their next head coach.
The Jaguars have seemingly been solely focused on making Meyer their head coach, and the two sides back been in regular communication.
