The Arizona Cardinals have cut defensive tackle Darius Philon following his arrest on Friday, according to TMZ Sports.
Philon, 25, was arrested in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, at 11:06 am, and was charged with aggravate assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
Philon is accused of pointing a handgun at a dancer in the parking lot of the VLive strip club on May 17th around 2:15 AM, per the cited police report.
The alleged victim says that Philon requested that she and another female companion accmpany him out to his vehicle where he kept his money and while at the vehicle, a white BMW, Philon allegedly grabbed a handgun, pointed it at the alleged victim’s chest and said “which one of you wants a bullet?”
Philon lowered the gun before allegedly pointing it at the woman. The alleged victim says she then went back to club and Philon drove away.
Per the TMZ report: “The alleged victim told police Philon returned to the club the following night — telling her he “wanted to make things right — and asked her to leave with him. She says she denied the request, and attempted to walk away … but claims Darius grabbed her by the arm and prevented her from leaving.”
The victim says that she was eventually able to get away from Philon and return to work, but states that he followed her around for around 30 minutes before eventually leaving the club.
The victim reported the incident several weeks later, which led to the investigation by the police, who concluded their investigation and arrested Philon on Friday.
