Los Angeles Dodgers’ pitcher Trevor Bauer had his administrative leave extended for the third time on Tuesday, this time Major League Baseball extended his leave until August 6th, according to ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez.
MLB did so after being given consent by the MLB Players’ Association. MLB and the City of Pasadena Police Department are both conducting their own investigations into Bauer, who has been accused by a woman of choking her until she lost consciousness on multiple occasions, punching her in several areas of her body and leaving her with injuries that required hospitalization over the course of two sexual encounters earlier this year – per a domestic violence restraining order that was filed back on June 28th (via ESPN).
The civil hearing for the temporary restraining order obtained against Bauer is set for Monday and on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court and is expected to last for two to three days. Day 3 wouldn’t take place until August 19th.
Bauer signed a record three-year, $102 million contract in February with the Dodgers.
