The Los Angeles Angels acquired outfielder Joc Pederson from the Los Angeles Dodgers shortly following their blockbuster deal that needed them former MVP Mookie Betts from the Boston Red Sox, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Pederson, 27, hit .249 with 36 home runs and 74 RBIs last season for the Dodgers, and is set to hit free agency following the 2020 season. He now joins a talented outfield that boasts superstar Mike Trout and Justin Upton.
The Dodgers will receive infielder Luis Rengifo in return. The 22-year old Rengifo hit .228 with 7 homers and 33 RBIs over 108 games last season for the Angels.
