Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid put in work in a dominant performance as the Sixers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 121-109, but following the victory Embiid revealed issues with his shoulder.
Embiid poured in 42 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and two blocks in the win, but all attention was on his health following the game. Embiid has already missed some games this season after dealing with plantar fasciitis during the offseason, but health concerns remain.
“I don’t know what happened. But some days I can’t lift my arm up. And when I go block shots, I really feel it,” Embiid said of his shoulder (h/t ClutchPoints). “I don’t know what’s going on. But it’s whatever.”
Embiid’s status will be something to monitor as the team gets set to take on the Utah Jazz.
