The Charlotte Hornets could be getting back their star rookie point guard just in time for the playoffs, as LaMelo Ball has been officially cleared to resume individual workouts and had his cast removed, according to an official team announcement.
“Ball’s cast was removed and a CT scan confirmed the wrist has healed. He has been cleared to return to individual basketball activity” the team said. “Additional updates on Ball’s status and return to game action will be provided as appropriate.”
Ball is averaging 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game this season and considered to be the front runner for rookie of the year honors.
There is currently no timetable for his return.
