The Charlotte Hornets have had a brutal start to the season and have sorely missed their All-Star point guard LaMelo Ball, but good news hit the wire as Ball made his season debut on Saturday night against the Miami Heat.
Unfortunately, Ball’s 15 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds weren’t enough for the Hornets to hold of the Heat, who cruised to a 132-115 home victory. Ball made his season debut after missing the first 13 games with a sprained ankle.
“I feel straight. We’re going to be straight,” Ball said (h/t NBA.com). “More games, it’ll get easier. I think I’m in a good spot.”
“He makes such a difference. He puts so much pressure on the other team,” Hornets head coach Steve Clifford said of Ball (h/t CBS Sports). “He did a bunch of good things, and obviously he’ll play better and better as we go here.”
