Charlotte Hornets new point guard LaMelo Ball is hoping that he can become the next franchise player for the team, following their selection of him in last night’s NBA Draft.
The Hornets selected Ball with the third pick in the draft, and he later appeared on SportsCenter to discuss his hopes of being a cornerstone for the franchise for years to come.
“I feel like I was born to do this.”

Charlotte already has Devonte’ Graham, Terry Rozier, and Miles Bridges on the roster, and with Ball in the mix, it would appear that they are on the cusp of being an ascending team starting next season.
