After close to 150 career playoff games, Boston Celtics veteran forward Al Horford will finally make his first appearance in the NBA Finals, following the Celtics defeat of the Miami Heat in Game 7 on Sunday.
Horford, who has had a solid, long career, will now take on the Golden State Warriors for a chance to win his first NBA Championship.
“Just didn’t know how to act,” Horford said during the Celtics celebration of their Game 7 win to become Eastern Conference Champions, according to NBA.com’s John Schuhmann. “Just caught up, excited. A lot of hard work. I’ve been a part of a lot of great teams, a lot of great teammates, and I’m so proud of this group.
Horford, 35, was a key factor in the Celtics putting away the Heat and advancing to the NBA Finals with his gritty defense and veteran leadership.
